Students
at Saint Peter the Apostle School in Parsippany celebrated the 50th
birthday of Dr.Seuss’s Cat in the Hat in
many fun ways. “Big
Brothers & Sisters” joined their “Little Brothers &
Sisters” and made Cat in the Hat
hats and shared favorite Dr. Seuss books. But, they also went the extra mile and created 138 handmade
cards to send to Random House Publishers.
For every card received, Random House will donate one book
to First Book, a non-profit organization that distributes new books to
children from low-income families who have little or no access to books.
Saint
Peter the
Apostle School students were very excited to know that they were
responsible for sharing the love of reading with 138 underprivileged
children.
